Five PH teams join the P2.4M Garena Free Fire tournament

Five Filipino teams will carry the flag in the grand final of the $ 50,000 (over P2.4 million) Garena Free Fire Tri-Nation Cup scheduled on Sunday, October 18.

HardToGet, Bloody Head, Absolute Vedict Elite, AXA Dream Team and Supreme Assault Forces will face off against seven other teams from Malaysia.

Six matches are set in the final which kicks off at 1pm

The grand champion of the 12-team tournament will receive the $ 15,000 prize (over P720,000) and a spot in the 2020 Free Fire Continental Series to be held from November 21-29.

The runner-up and third place will take $ 7,000 and $ 4,000, respectively, along with a seat in the Continental Series play-ins.

PH’s five squads advanced to the Tri-Nation Cup final after dominating the 18-team league circuit played from September 12 to October 4.

HardToGet came out on top with 787 points and took the league winner’s prize of $ 2,000 (over P97,000).

Bloody Head finished seventh and earned $ 800 with 505 points; AV Elite finished eighth with 502 points ($ 800); AXA landed 11th with 432 points ($ 600); and the Supreme Assault Forces finished 12th with 431 points ($ 500).

The Tri-Nation Open Qualifiers were held online in the Philippines, Malaysia and Cambodia with 648 seats.
