San Miguel’s bid to extend his reign of the PBA Philippine Cup to a sixth year has taken another major blow as Terrence Romeo is ruled out for the 2020 season.
According to reports Saturday morning, the former three-time scoring champion will be out for 6-8 weeks after dislocating his right shoulder.
However, Romeo chose not to undergo surgery and is currently wearing a sling on his right arm, according to reports.
The seven-year-old pro suffered the injury with 4:57 remaining in the second quarter of Beermen’s game against TNT after a collision with Ryan Reyes.
He was immediately taken to the nearby Medical City and was deeply missed by SMB, bowing to Tropang GIGA 88-107.
The Far Eastern University product was having a game, already with 11 points before getting hurt.
Romeo, 28, is now the second San Miguel player to be out for the season alongside current six-time MVP June Mar Fajardo.
The Cavite native is averaging 13.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.3 assists in three games this season, where the Beermen are now 1-2.
