Apple tonight began emailing Apple TV + subscribers who have a trial subscription to inform them of a planned three-month trial extension.
We’re giving you more time to discover the latest Apple Originals and catch up on shows that are returning for a second season. You don’t have to do anything, just keep watching for free until February 2021.
It has been an incredible debut year. Audiences are loving Emmy Award winner The Morning Show, hit World War II thriller Greyhound, heartwarming comedy Ted Lasso, and more. Keep an eye out for new releases, hit movies like On the Rocks, the revealing documentary series Tiny World, and Servant season 2, For All Mankind, and Peabody winner Dickinson.
First announced last week, the trial extension applies to those who purchased a device as of September 2019 and signed up for a year of free service when Apple TV + launched on November 1, 2019.
It was established that the first Apple TV + subscribers who activated their access year on that date would expire their trial periods in late October or early November, but Apple is now extending those expiration dates to February.
Apple is also providing credits to subscribers who pay for an annual Apple TV + plan or a monthly Apple TV + plan, offering them $ 4.99 per month for each month through February.
Apple TV + users who signed up for their year of free service after purchasing a device between November 2019 and January 2020 will benefit from the promotion offered by Apple, and those subscriptions will now expire later than expected. Those who signed up for a free year after January 31, 2020 will not benefit because their free trials will already extend beyond the limits of the promotion.
According to Apple, the promotion is being offered to give Apple TV + subscribers more time to view Apple’s latest original content. Apple says new trial renewal dates will appear soon in Manage Subscriptions in the Apple TV app.
