Honda Cars India Limited announced on Monday that it has expanded its online sales platform in the county in an attempt to offer a safe and convenient purchase option to prospective customers at their preferred location. The ‘Honda from Home’ online platform was previously launched but has now been expanded with the company ensuring a simple six-step process to complete the new car buying process.

Honda says the new digital solution seeks to offer a comprehensive retail experience to customers who do not want to enter showrooms and instead prefer to log in online to make purchases. As part of the digital retail experience, Honda’s platform offers car pricing, dealer selector, promotional offers, EMI calculator, dedicated sales representative, and road pricing calculation. Once the purchase is made, customers can choose to receive the new vehicle at their preferred location.

While Honda had already launched its virtual showroom last month to help prospective buyers visually understand the product, the six-step buying process is now one way the company can ensure a hassle-free shopping experience. These steps include: choosing a car, selecting applicable offers, creating a quote, checking financial options, checking delivery options, and shopping online. A dedicated sales representative is available to guide buyers through each step.

Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing at Honda Cars India Ltd, believes that the digital retail facility has been created with customer interest as a primary concern. “We believe that this streamlined, secure and contactless experience from the comfort of their homes will improve peace of mind for our customers, especially during this Covid-19 health crisis. All of our dealerships across India are integrated into the platform,” he said in a press release issued by the company.
