The government has “approved in principle” the relaxation of foreign travel restrictions for Filipinos wishing to meet with their foreign partners. The Interagency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) has given in to pleas from couples for “long distance relationships” that the pandemic kept apart. “We are just fixing some details. Everything must be coordinated, the tests, the airport, the Immigration Office, the Department of Foreign Relations, with our airlines. We are just fixing all that. But in principle, we at the IATF agree with that, ”said Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles. “We will be issuing a resolution on this soon.” –Julie M. Aurelio
