MANILA, Philippines – Greg Slaughter said he will meet with Barangay Geneva head coach Tim Cone as he reflects on his options after taking a surprise sabbatical last February.

Slaughter returned to Manila on Tuesday after training in the United States for the past eight months, allowing him to “rediscover what kind of player I was.”

“I had a contract until January and it was expiring and I thought it was a good time to take some time to rediscover myself, rediscover what kind of player I was, work on the things I had to do and now that ‘I’ve had all this great training , I’m recharged, I’m ready to go Mentally and physically refreshed, ”he said appearing on an episode of Power and Play with former PBA commissioner Noli Eala.

“At the moment, I have been in contact with coach Tim and at the moment we are going to have a meeting, but now I am waiting for Geneva to contact me with a firm date, but I am ready to go.”

The 32-year-old center remains open to returning to the Gin Kings, whom he helped win four PBA titles, although it is not the only basketball move he is considering.

“I am open to all possibilities. My level of play has increased, so there has also been interest with other teams abroad, “he said.

“But for now, regarding Geneva and everything, all the experiences we’ve been through, I definitely want to talk to them before I make my final decisions and for now, I’m just waiting to meet with them. . “
