It appears that Scottie Thompson of Barangay Geneva is bringing his hairdressing franchise into the PBA bubble.

In Thompson’s latest stunt, the Geneva forward showed off his barber skills by taking on teammate Aljon Mariano as his first client while hiding out in Clark, Pampanga.

It was a mini meeting in his room at the Quest Hotel in Mimosa with his teammates Stanley Pringle and Mark Caguioa and former Geneva players Kevin Ferrer and Paolo Taha who joined the small group on Friday night.

The crew exchanged laughs and jokes, and Thompson warned them: Wala nang late ‘to!

As customers queue up, Mariano joked, “Hey, get your hair cut here, ah! No more! “referring to his eldest Caguioa as the players burst into laughter.

We can not do that! “Thompson added.

Ferrer and Ginebra, the great Jayjay Helterbrand, also commented on Mariano’s Instagram post.

“UST lang boi ah !!!” Ferrer said, referring to the Tigres haircut era under coach Pido Jarencio at UAAP.

Mariano seems to be a satisfied customer and responded to Helterbrand that Thompson is a good barber.

In October 2016, Thompson, 23, opened Thompson’s Sports Hair Shop in his hometown of Digos, Davao del Sur.

Still a rising star from Geneva at the time, he made sure to put his hard-earned money playing basketball in business. Three years later, Thompson announced that his barbershop was open for franchising and eventually flourished in different locations in Metro Manila and the provinces.

For players in need of a haircut, Thompson is just a swipe away.
