WASHINGTON, United States – US President Donald Trump on Thursday called Kamala Harris, who is making US history as the first black woman to run for vice president, a “monster.”
Trump, long behind in the Nov.3 White House race and performing especially poorly in polls of female voters, used the word twice, calling the Democrat “this monster.”
Speaking to Fox Business News for nearly an hour in his first interview since becoming ill with the coronavirus, Trump said Vice President Mike Pence “destroyed” Harris in his debate Wednesday in Utah.
“Everything he says is a lie,” Trump said.
Harris, who is also the first person of Indian descent to be on a White House ballot, spent most of his debate attacking Trump for presiding over what he said was “the greatest failure of any presidential administration in the history of our country “about Covid. -19.
In the Fox interview, Trump once again called Biden, who comfortably leads in almost every major opinion poll nationwide, “not mentally capable.”
“Everybody knows it,” Trump said, predicting that “Biden will not be president for two months.”
Trump, who for months has criticized Biden for senile and previously called Harris “disgusting,” also revived one of his darkest claims as a politician: that Latin American illegal immigrants amount to serious criminals.
The Democrats “want thousands of people who are murderers, rapists, to just come into our country. They could be very sick people, ”he said.
Similar descriptions of undocumented immigrants have been a staple of the Trump brand since he announced his presidential race in 2015 with the declaration that Mexicans coming to the United States are criminals, “rapists and some, I suppose, are good people.”
