Udenna Infra wins DITO’s P10-B contract
Udenna Infrastructure Corporation (UIC) signed a P10 billion (US $ 200 million) agreement for the construction of DITO towers and the deployment of fiber optic cables, Jomel Fuentes, director of operations, revealed yesterday.
“In search of local technical knowledge and experience in base infrastructure, DITO Telecommunity Corporation contracted UIC to help in the deployment of cell towers and fiber optic cables,” he explained.
DITO Telecommunity has taken advantage of the synergies present within the Udenna Group along with three other major infrastructure partners and several independent tower contractors to accelerate the construction of the project and fulfill its commercial launch commitment of March 2021.
UIC and FutureNet and Technology Corporation, the general contractor for the third telecommunications company, recently signed a Master Service Agreement (MSA).
The MSA outlines the scope of the work, the matrix of responsibilities, the work processes, among other details, for the construction of nearly 1,500 towers and the laying of more than 1,400 kilometers of fiber optic cabling for a period of two years. “It is another milestone for UIC,” concluded the director of operations.
