Pagdanganan ready to seize the big moment

MANILA, Philippines – Major League Baseball can be a daunting task even for seasoned activists on the LPGA Tour. But rookie Bianca Pagdanganan is taking her first big test in stride, not so much to ease the pressure but more so she can stay focused on the arduous mission.

“Older or not, I like to have the same level of focus every time I prepare for an event. I always attach great importance to it, ”said Pagdanganan, excited for the opportunity to face the best in the world in the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship that takes place on Thursday (Friday in Manila) at the Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square in Pennsylvania.

The 22-year-old driving leader had a rather late start at 1:18 pm at the rear of the par 72 track with American Cydney Clanton and Australian Katherine Kirk, who have a combined 20-year experience on the main circuit of the world.

The mighty hitter is heading to the main championship after a long layoff after failing to secure a spot at last week’s ShopRite LPGA Classic in New Jersey. She last saw action at the Portland Classic last month.
