If we think that we humans are the only ones who have a hard time being locked up at home, think again.
Put yourself in the shoes – or paws – of your pets. Imagine being deprived of wide open spaces to play and run for more than half a year. Many of our pets, especially dogs, are itching to get out there, enjoy a breath of fresh air, and exercise their legs until they drop (and you’ll have to take them home, just like the old days).
While it is a given that we can’t just go take our pets out during these times, there are establishments that not only allow pets, but are built with features that our beloved pets can really have fun with.

Located in the city of Lancaster in Pennsylvania, Beau’s Dream Dog Park is every dog’s dream park. It has areas for small and large breed dogs, Splash Pads, a Doxie tunnel in the small breed area, and a Dream Tree, a “tree” that throws tennis balls, on the large breed side. The dog park received a major upgrade, thanks to Lancaster resident Angela and her dog Beau. The couple won a contest sponsored by a dog food brand, priced at an upgrade from the contestants’ local dog park.

With over 12,000 square feet of indoor dog park space, all pets are promised plenty of space and fun at Paws 4 Fun Park. It consists of two parks for large breed dogs and another two for small breeds. All four are installed with drainage systems, antimicrobial and antibacterial turf specially designed for dogs. Of course, there are many play equipment such as tunnels and toys.
Tired humans can relax in the rest areas that feature a complimentary cup of coffee and free Wi-Fi while their dogs play with the Paws 4 Fun staff.
This indoor dog park in Lincoln, Nebraska is not just for running and fetch. It also has indoor and outdoor swimming pools and offers services such as doggy daycare, accommodation for dogs and cats and personal grooming.

Here’s a place frequented by humans. Located in Seattle, Dogwood Play Park is an indoor and outdoor off-leash dog park and bar for pet parents. The play park has a large indoor and outdoor area, making play time and relaxation enjoyable for two and four legged users, whether in winter or summer.

Any dog lover knows Hachiko, Japan’s legendary dog and probably the most fondly remembered pet. Right on Circulo Verde in Pasig is Hachi Park, an off-leash dog park named after the remarkably loyal Akita, where your furry baby can run freely at will.
The spacious Hachi Park allows you and your pet to get your daily dose of sunshine while maintaining physical distance. Here, you and your dog can enjoy a bit of the outdoors after being locked up for so long due to the long-standing quarantines in the subway. Water containers and trash cans are installed throughout the park so pet parents have no excuse not to responsibly clean up their dog’s waste.

What has always been among the subway’s most accommodating malls when it comes to pets just got even more pet-friendly. SM Aura recently opened Paw Park, an agility park for pets, in the Skypark. Features 11 Agility Obstacles: Double Hoop Jump, Adjustable Tire Jump, Tube Tunnel, Agility Saw, Weave Posts, A-frame, Dog Walking Ramp, Agility Walk, Pause Table, Wall Jump and adjustable dog fence. Paw Park also has the basic amenities for dogs and their humans, including a water fountain, benches, and wastebaskets.
Using Paw Park is free, all you need to do is register online. Of course, everyone must observe proper dog park etiquette and follow the safety rules that are posted at the Paw Park entrance, on the SM Aura Premier website and attached with the Paw Park digital pass.
