PBA players, including league coaches and staff, embark on an unusual journey to a place of uncertainty.

On Monday, most of these people will find out what it’s like to be inside the bubble.

It will be more than two months of sacrifice for those who will challenge the concept of the bubble in Clark, Pampanga.

Five teams – Magnolia, TNT, Meralco, Phoenix Super LPG and Terra Firma – have checked into the Quest Hotel, the temporary home of the PBA family for the entire season.

Several players took their nostalgia to social media, posting photos of their family and loved ones.

“I will definitely miss my babies,” wrote Magnolia guard Paul Lee on Instagram.

Lee is known for speaking on social media as the father of his wife Rubie and their one-year-old daughter Tokyo, who will turn two on October 8.

In her latest vlogs, Lee revealed her recent Nike sneaker swag and the gear she’s bringing inside the bubble.

Jio Jalalon, Mark Barroca, Ian Sangalang and Magnolia’s coach Chito Victolero, to name a few, also posted their posts on social media.

“[S]credit me first [ngayon] ahh. [P]ara sa inyo to, ”wrote Jalalon, dedicating himself to his wife Kristina, daughter Skyla and son JJ.

Meanwhile, Ian and his wife Eunice celebrated their son Isaiah’s third birthday the day before the Magnolia striker left for the bubble.

“This is the longest time we won’t be together,” Eunice said, with a sad emoji. “We will miss you daddy! Beware. We love you.”

CJ Pérez from Terra Firma, RR García from Phoenix and Poy Erram from TNT were also among the players who said goodbye to their families.

They are scheduled to arrive in Clark on Tuesday: San Miguel Beer, Barangay Geneva, NLEX, Alaska, Rain or Shine, Blackwater and NorthPort.

The next time these players reunite with their families is the second week of December, the final goal of season 45 of a conference.

Until then, hopes are high for the safety and success of the PBA family.
