MANILA – “Wish granted for my lola”.
This is what Xian Lim wrote when she revealed the touching gift she had prepared for her grandmother, a month after sharing that she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
“Before taking her to the hospital, I asked her what she wanted for mapabilis ang balik ng lakas niya and she said she wanted to see her collection of clowns in one place,” recalled the actor.
That’s exactly what he worked on last month and this Friday he posted a photo of the finished project. “This is the final product and she was excited and excited to see it all on display,” he said.
It was on August 24 that Lim shared that her Lola was diagnosed with breast cancer, which was thrilled when she said she would undergo a mastectomy, a procedure to remove one of her breasts.
In his post this week, Lim said that his Lola is now recovering from her surgery. Now they’re just waiting for the doctors to give their chemotherapy the green light.
According to Lim, she will be working on another wish for her Lola: “My Lola’s next wish list for me is to frame all of her cross stitch. More than 150 works accumulated over the years! Mukhang kakayanin naman ”.
