Philippine world champion Johnriel Casimero (left) and undefeated African challenger Duke Micah (24-0, 19 KO’s) made weight for their battle for the WBO world bantamweight title at the Mohegan Sun on Saturday (Sunday the morning here in Asia).

Both men looked 100% focused, very serious and in fantastic shape during the official weigh-in ceremony on Friday.

The popular Pinoy from the charming seaside town of Ormoc in Leyte Province came up on the scale at 117¾ pounds, just ¼ pound below the division limit; while his 29-year-old opponent, Duke Micah from the great African land of Ghana, made 117¼ pounds, and the fighters are ready for the fight!

Challenger Micah is a dangerous warrior hungry for glory, but Casimero (29-4, 20 KO’s), more experienced and expert in the ring, is the favorite to retain the belt.

The winner could unify bantamweight titles against the red-hot WBA / IBF Japanese Kingpin Naoya Inoue (19-0, 16 KO’s).

Was it Casimero or Micah? We will soon know.
