Daquis joins the virtual NBA fan board in the LA-Denver game
Volleyball star Rachel Anne Daquis will appear as one of the fans on the virtual fan board for Friday’s NBA game between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets.
The Cignal HD Spikers open hitter shared the news on her social media account Thursday night, urging everyone to join her in watching Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals.
“I’m very excited to be a part of the virtual fan board for tomorrow’s game …” wrote Daquis.
“Follow me to take a look at the experience! Watch it with me at 9 a.m. M. LIVE on NBA TV Philippines and One Sports “.
The virtual fan board is one of the innovations of the NBA in its tournament bubble during the pandemic, where it presents fans on a giant screen next to the court to give players a similar competition atmosphere.
It was also a way to entertain fans in their homes, as crowds are still restricted at most sporting events due to the pandemic.
Last month, fellow volleyball star Alyssa Valdez also appeared as a virtual fan at the LA Lakers-Houston Rockets playoff game.
