MATCHUP motivation?
Just hours before Game 4 between the Heat and Celtics began, the wife of Boston forward Gordan Hayward announced some good news on Instagram: She had just given birth to their first child.
In her announcement, Robyn gently joked with Gordon about their current discussion about naming their baby. Robyn and Gordon already have three daughters.
“If you ask @gordonhayward his name is GT, but if you ask me and the girls his name is Theo. I miss you so much @gordonhayward and can’t wait for you to meet him. We are ready to see you tonight! ” she wrote.

The full name of the little bundle of joy, for the record, is Gordon Theodore Hayward.

In July, before entering the bubble, Hayward had decided to go home when his wife gave birth. But a sprain he suffered during the quarterfinal round against the Sixers changed his plans. While the 30-year-old forward’s injury kept him out of action for most of the Celtics’ postseason, Gordon was able to return home and spend some time with his wife while he went through rehab.
This is only his second game back after injury.
His wife addressed the situation in a previous Instagram post.
“Gordon is not going to leave the bubble for the birth, so stop asking that too. Thank you, “he wrote.
