It won’t be that long until Ignite makes its long-awaited debut.
The select NBA G League team, comprised of elite high school talent with Filipino prodigy Kai Sotto and Fil-Am Jalen Green, will debut in a bubble setting sometime in November.
According to a tweet from The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the league’s development arm is in talks to host a tournament in which Team Ignite will test its mettle against other teams.
“The NBA G League is seriously discussing the tournament with the elite Ignite team, led by Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga, and other teams (undrafted players, etc.) in a bubble environment in November / December. Decisions are still pending. fluid, “he said. in his tweet on Tuesday.

Sotto, along with teammates Green, Isaiah Todd, Daishen Nix, Jonathan Kuminga and Princepal Singh, are currently training at the team’s base in Walnut Creek, California, under the watchful eye of head coach Brian Shaw.
If he advances, this will be the first time the selected team will be tested before the 2020-21 season that will not be announced yet.
