Morgan Gibbs-White, on loan from Wolves, believes Swansea City’s attack will improve as the season progresses after a frustrating goalless draw at Birmingham City.
Swansea had most of the possession in the game with opportunities created by Gibbs-White, Ben Cabango and Marc Guehi, but none of them materialized.
The 20-year-old believes that the team’s fortunes will change as soon as the newcomers can adapt to the team and the coach’s philosophy.
“I can see that our playing patterns are starting to mesh,” said Gibbs-White.
“We are comfortable with the ball, we are finding spaces for the other, playing the ball from behind.
“I feel like there is a very good connection in the team at the moment. The only way is up for now. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get all three points in this game.
“I should have scored to be fair. I thought he was a bit further from goal than me. I tried to get it to the right of the goalkeeper, but it wasn’t a good enough shot.
“But, when you play with these types of teams, you know it’s about fighting and making sure you’re good defensively.
“It is so frustrating that we didn’t have the only chance to score a goal. If we get that goal, we’ll probably end up scoring two or three.
“In that sense, we made it difficult for ourselves, but Birmingham is good at what it does. It was a frustrating game. “
