Will the Ford Bronco have a high-performance version?

The Ford Bronco, regardless of whether or not it will reach our shores, is a vehicle that many people are excited about. It has a name, a story, it comes available with an abundant 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6, and it’s pretty much a toy truck that can be driven anywhere.

It’s also not available yet, as it’s slated to hit showrooms in the US in 2021. This doesn’t stop Ford from teasing yet another addition to the Bronco line-up that has yet to launch.

The American automaker recently took to social media to tease what is believed to be another version of the upcoming SUV. The company reveals almost nothing, and the photo attached to the tweet shows a camouflage-covered SUV getting some grass time. Look:

What is it? According to rumors online, it is a high-performance version of the Bronco. Some go so far as to speculate that it is a Abductor or wild pig Take-anywhere variant for Ford’s newest SUV.

Excited? Okay, but take this information with a grain of salt. Again, this is all just speculation. However, reports that the brand has registered the Warthog name in the US market are helping to sustain this rumor.

Will a Bronco Warthog or Raptor feature anything more substantial than the top-of-the-line 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6? An improved suspension, perhaps? A spectacular body kit that aftermarket manufacturers will be struggling to emulate? Will the smaller Bronco Sport get the same treatment?
