LETRAN formally welcomed Rhenz Abando, Brent Paraiso and Ira Bataller to their camp.
Knights coach Bonnie Tan formalized the transfer of her three new recruits Tuesday in the presence of San Miguel’s athletic director and the school’s special assistant to the rector of athletic development, Alfrancis Chua.
“We are proud to add Rhenz Abando, Brent Paraiso and Ira Bataller to our program,” said Tan, a soft-spoken former UST player.
“Being Thomasians, coach Alfrancis Chua and I didn’t turn a blind eye when these three young players called and asked if Letran could be their new home. After all, Letran and UST are sister schools.”

Now, they found a new home at another Dominican-run school in Letran.
“Their addition is certainly a huge boost to our program as they also bring their experiences to our championship core. Our team management, staff and I have also done our homework on how we can easily integrate them into our team.” Tan said.

“We are definitely looking forward to working with them once we can get back to the gym. But for now, we will guide them to become true lyricists.”
The Knights, who have won the NCAA 95th season crown, intend to maintain their place at the pinnacle of the league while remaining the team to beat heading into next season.
