Letitia Wright dedicated a poem accompanied by a video in honor of her late on-screen brother Chadwick Boseman.

Boseman died of colon cancer on Friday, August 28, a condition that his co-stars, including Wright, did not know he was fighting.

The actress played Shuri, the tech-savvy sister to Boseman’s worthy T’Challa in “Black Panther.”

“My brother, an angel on Earth left,” Wright recited in his spoken poem yesterday, September 2, on Instagram.

“Such a beautiful soul, when you walked into a room, there was calm. You always moved with grace and ease, ”he said. “Every time I saw you, the world would be a better place.”

He shared his sadness at not being aware of what his older brother was going through and his amazement at what he had accomplished.

“To accept this as a new reality, I wish I could say goodbye. I texted you a couple of times, I thought you were just busy. I didn’t know you were dealing with so much, ”he said.

“Against all odds, he remained focused on fulfilling his purpose in the time he was given.”

She also recalled when she and Boseman met and shared videos of them hugging. “I thought this would be forever,” he said.

“It is also written that all things are renewed, there is light in the darkness. Streams of living water flow, giving new life, “he said.

“And all that is left for us now is for us to allow all the seeds that you have planted in the earth to grow, to flourish, to become even more beautiful. You are forever in my heart. “

The video concluded with photos of the cast of “Black Panther” and a clip of her, Boseman and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige, in good spirits.

“Black Panther,” released in 2018, is the first Marvel Studios film to feature a black superhero protagonist. Cast members, including Michael B. Jordan, Danai Gurira and Angela Bassett, who played T’challa’s mother in the film, expressed their anguish in moving tributes. /outside
