CEBU CITY –– The former mayor of the city of Dumanjug, in southern Cebu and younger brother of Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, died, his family confirmed Wednesday.
No immediate details were given on the cause of Nelson García’s death.
Words cannot express the deep sense of loss and pain over his untimely departure. Yoyoi was always the son, brother, husband and father that I desire and have always aspired to be. I love you and will miss you very much, ”said his other brother, the former president of the Government Service Insurance System, Winston García, in a Facebook post.
Governor García announced last month that her other brother, the mayor of the city of Barili, Marlon García, was infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
