MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reported a new case of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) among Filipinos abroad on Monday.
The new case, recorded in a country in the Asia Pacific region, brings the total coronavirus infections among Filipinos abroad to 10,070.
Of this number, 3,188 are in treatment, while 6,127 have recovered or have been discharged.
Meanwhile, the death toll among Filipinos abroad remains at 755 as no new deaths were recorded for the second day in a row.

According to the DFA, there are 6,968 Filipinos infected with COVID-19 in the Middle East and Africa; 1,165 in Europe; 1,142 in the Asia Pacific region; and 795 infected in the Americas.
So far, more than 25 million people around the world have been infected with COVID-19.
In the Philippines, there are currently 220,819 confirmed coronavirus infections as of Monday, of which 157,562 have recovered and 3,558 died.
