WATCH: Utah Jazz Stars Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert lunge in chairs during Game 6 loss

After going 3-1 in the series, the Utah Jazz are now in a dangerous slump. Tonight they lost their second straight game to the Denver Nuggets, losing 119-107. Donovan Mitchell tried to keep them in the game, but Jamal Murray at the other end was in top form as he forced a Game 7.

It was not only a bad day for the Jazz, but also for the armchairs of the arena. As they walked back to the locker room after the loss, Mitchell lunged at the steel chairs throwing them down in anger.

Mitchell did his best, scoring a monster 44 points while shooting 9/13 from 3-point range. Despite his brilliant scoring, the rest of the team couldn’t come back as they ended up losing by 12 points.

Another chair is a victim of the Utah Jazz

During the second half, Jazz center Rudy Gobert couldn’t hide his frustration when he stomped on a steel chair on his way to a timeout. The Jazz were doing their best on offense, but the Nuggets refused to give up their lead. Unable to make an impact on the game, Gobert simply left him on the chairs.

In the last two games, the Jazz have been the victim of an attack by Jamal Murray. They have not been able to contain it, and that has been their downfall. Tonight he had 50 points while shooting 70% from the field.

On offense, the Jazz stayed in the fight only because of Mitchell and then Mike Conley, who contributed 21 points. It was a disappointing outing for Jordan Clarkson, who went 5/14 from the field when he disappointed his team.

The Jazz have to offer Mitchell more support on offense and can’t expect him to take them out every night. As they head into Game 7, they don’t have momentum on their side. Coach Quinn Snyder will be under pressure as his team tries to avoid giving up a 3-1 lead.

This will be the first Game 7 of the 2020 Playoffs and it promises to be a thriller.
