Drex Zamboanga celebrates victory in his ONE Championship debut. A CHAMPIONSHIP
MANILA, Philippines – Drex Zamboanga had already made a name for himself at URCC as the promotion’s bantamweight champion.
On Friday, Zamboanga announced his arrival at the ONE Championship.
Zamboanga, 31, kicked off his ONE campaign in style, stopping Detchadin Sornsirisuphathin on the ONE: A New Breed event undercard at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
Zamboanga showed his punches early before showing his dominance on the mat, submitting Detchadin with just two seconds left to play in the second round.
Zamboanga applied a rear choke to put his Thai enemy to sleep.
He posted his second straight win to improve his record to 8-5 after losing three in a row.
