A department store in Malaysia, which has been closed since March, has replaced the items on display after they were found to have mold.

Although the Facebook user did not mention the store, the department store Metrojaya issued a statement yesterday, May 11, saying that its store in the Suria Sabah shopping center was photographed in a social media post.

He said the photos were taken for “internal use” and that the store has been closed since March 18. He noted that an investigation was underway to discover how the products “came to be in that condition.”
“All damaged products have now been removed from our shelves and replaced with new stock,” he assured customers.
It also posted disinfection videos of its stores before reopening to the public.
