MANILA – James Reid and Nadine Luster fans will surely miss seeing the two together.
This was demonstrated on Monday when Luster was on Twitter in the Philippines after posting just an old photo of her and Reid together on Instagram.
Fans assumed the post was Luster’s way of greeting his ex-boyfriend, who is celebrating his 27th birthday today.
While he made an effort to tag Reid in the picture, Luster just captioned him with a seedling emoji and nothing else.
But even this did not escape his supporters, and some of them did their best to search for the meaning of the legend.
His fans even shared on Twitter what the seedling emoji supposedly means, “to convey new beginnings or start again.”
At the time of writing, Luster’s post already has close to half a million likes in just three hours.
Reid and Luster, who would have celebrated their fourth anniversary on February 11, said they decided to separate to “focus on ourselves not only for our careers, but more for our personal growth.”
Reid and Luster made their breakthrough in show business in 2014 through the big screen romcom “Diary ng Panget”, launching one of the greatest love teams among their contemporaries.
Both Viva artists at the time made a successful transition to television as contracting stars for ABS-CBN, where they starred in consecutive drama series, “On the Wings of Love” in 2015 and “Till I Met You” in 2016.
When they started filming the latter, their on-screen love team had already turned into a real-life romance. That romantic milestone unfolded in February 2016, when Reid declared his love for Luster at the close of their joint concert at the Araneta Coliseum.
However, their breakup seems friendly, as the two were still seen together after the split before the lockout.
