Since regulators issued a cease and desist order on ABS-CBN’s broadcast operations on May 5, supporters of the network have flooded social media with messages of solidarity. The network released a statement Sunday thanking the public. Here is the full ABS-CBN statement:

ABS-CBN is grateful for the overwhelming support we have received from our Kapamilya.
We are confident that Congress will be able to act on our pending franchise renewal request as soon as possible. We are grateful for the efforts of House and Senate leaders to ensure that the network continues to operate while the bills are deliberated. During this pandemic, our services are most needed.
It is regrettable that, despite Senate Resolution No. 40, the letter from the legislative franchise committee of the House of Representatives and the favorable legal opinion of the Department of Justice, the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) still issued its order to cessation and withdrawal that prohibits ABS-CNB from continuing its transmission operations with immediate effect.
This is a challenging time for the network. But we have found strength and inspiration in the many acts of kindness and support that the public has shown us. Thank you for informing us that we are important to you. In return, we reiterate our commitment to continue serving you. Maraming salamat po, Kagamilya!
