MANILA – The Department of Foreign Relations said Sunday that no new cases of the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) were reported among Filipinos abroad.
This is the first time that there have been no new cases or deaths since the agency began issuing reports on Filipinos affected by COVID-19 abroad.
The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 among Filipinos abroad remains 2,178, with 253 deaths.
Meanwhile, two Filipinos abroad recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries to 642.

As of Sunday, 1,283 of the identified cases were in treatment for the disease, broken down regionally as follows: 147 in Asia-Pacific, 412 in Europe, 531 in the Middle East and Africa, and 193 in America.
In the Philippines, coronavirus disease has so far infected 10,794 people, with 719 deaths and 1,924 recoveries.
