Sir Alex Ferguson’s wife Lady Cathy has to “nail” the feet of the former Manchester United manager to keep him inside.
The Scotsman, who retired from management in 2013, is known for his work ethic, but had to undergo emergency surgery in 2018 and has since had to monitor his health.
But Albert Morgan, United’s kitman under Ferguson for 20 years, joked that his wife is having a hard time keeping him inside even with forced distancing measures.
“I talk to him almost every day and he’s in a total block right now,” Morgan told MUTV Group Chat. “He has not been out of the house.
“I think your mistress has had to nail her feet! She is in good shape, doing her exercises every morning.

He has seen the Premier League suspended indefinitely, which was far from timely for United who was in good shape.
However, a second place finish in 2018 remains his best result since Ferguson’s retirement.
The Scotsman presided over the most successful period in club history during his 27-year tenure.
And Morgan shared some of the methods that allowed Ferguson to thrive for so long at Old Trafford.
“He let people get on with their work,” he said. “He learned to delegate to all his staff and whenever he does his job and to the best of his ability, it was hard work, but his enthusiasm helped him. He never bothered him.”
But Morgan joked that in his role he was constantly torn between taking the side of the manager or his players.
“I used to keep you informed about everything!” he claimed.
“I was on the fence between the staff and the players, it was me who bounced off the fence. It was a nightmare, it kept me up a few nights!”
