COVID-19 beats 40 more Filipinos abroad; 10 new deaths reported

Data released by DFA on Wednesday showed that a total of 1,644 Filipinos abroad are now infected with SARS-CoV-2, which causes the 2019 respiratory disease coronavirus disease.

Of the number, 1,011 patients are still in treatment, while 434 have recovered.

Additionally, DFA said a total of 199 Filipinos abroad have died from COVID-19 with the last 10 deaths recorded in the Americas and the Middle East.

Below is the breakdown of COVID-19 cases among Filipinos located in 46 countries as of April 29, 2020:

In the Philippines, 8,212 cases of COVID-19 were reported as of April 29. Of these, 1,023 recovered and 558 died.
