MANILA, Philippines – Three Filipinos are still recovering in a hospital from injuries sustained during a restaurant gas explosion in Abu Dhabi on Monday, the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said.
In a brief statement Wednesday night, the DFA said there were a total of eight Filipinos reported injured in the blast, five of whom had already been discharged from the hospital.
“The remaining three Filipinos are recovering in two separate hospitals,” he added.
The DFA said that the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi will continue to monitor the situation of the Filipinos there, as it remains ready to provide assistance.
Previously, the DFA confirmed two Philippine deaths due to the explosion.
