MANILA, Philippines – A 4.6 magnitude earthquake struck the Babuyan Islands on Friday morning, reported the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
According to Phivolcs, the earthquake occurred at 11:37 am, with the epicenter located 30 kilometers northwest of Babuyan Island.
Phivolcs said the earthquake, which was tectonic in origin, had a depth of 83 kilometers.
No damage was reported and no aftershocks are expected, Phivolcs said.
