MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Friday afternoon, said the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
The earthquake occurred at 4:37 pm 15 kilometers west of Lubang, Occidental Mindoro.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of focus of four kilometers.
Intensity I felt in Calatagan, Batangas, which was also previously shaken by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake.
State seismologists said no aftershocks are expected from the earthquake.
Aside from the 6.3 magnitude earthquake that struck various parts of Luzon this morning, Phivolcs also recorded a 5.3 magnitude earthquake that struck Davao Occidental. [ac]
