SINGAPORE, Dec.21 (Xinhua) – Three cases of COVID-19 infection were reported at a local hotel where the government is investigating 13 imported pandemic cases that had delivered the Stay at Home Notice (SHN) there to search for their possible link. the Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH) said on Sunday.
The investigation aims to find out if the transmission may have occurred locally.
In total, 394 people serving SHN in Mandarin Orchard Singapore have been Hispanic. Of the 384 results that are ready, three tested positive and were immediately taken to a hospital by ambulance.
As they have recent travel histories, all three have been registered as imported cases. In total, Singapore reported 19 imported cases and no community cases on Sunday.
The National Public Health Laboratory will carry out whole genome sequencing and phylogenetic analysis to determine if all three could be linked to the previous 13 cases, the Health Ministry said.
So far, the Ministry of Health has also evaluated 571 hotel employees. Of these, 158 test results have been processed, while 413 are pending. All 158 polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test results were negative for COVID-19. However, the serological tests of three staff members were positive, indicating probable past infections. Epidemiological investigations of these cases are ongoing. Final product
