LUCENA CITY –– Eleven patients recovered from coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Quezon province, health authorities reported Saturday.
In its 8 am bulletin on May 9, the Quezon Public Information Office, citing the latest report from the Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO), announced on its Facebook page that the 11 patients were from the Lucena city (five), Pagbilao (two) and the cities of Tayabas, Candelaria, Calauag and Lucban (one each).
In total, 33 patients have recovered from the disease in the province.
However, there are 72 remaining cases of COVID-19 in the province.
Seven of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 have died.
At least 88 suspected carriers are confined in different hospitals and 166 are still under house isolation.
The QPIO also registered three “probable” patients. One of them is confined to an undisclosed hospital, while the other two were released and completed the home quarantine.
Quezon, considered a high-risk or “red” province, is under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) until May 15.
But according to the Secretary of the Interior, Eduardo Año, Quezón is one of the areas of the country that is expected to be placed in the state of “general quarantine of the community” once the ECQ ends.
