Paris Jackson says she is grateful that her father Michael made her wear masks as a child because she let her be ‘normal’
Paris Jackson is thankful that her superstar father Michael made her and her siblings wear masks as children.
The 22-year-old model / actress explained how her father’s childhood in the limelight protected him from his offspring in the latest episode of her Facebook Watch Unfiltered series: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn.
“When I was young, I was in the studio and I looked outside and I saw children on the playground and I couldn’t do that,” he explained. ‘He didn’t want that for us, so we wore masks.

For Paris, the masks allowed her and the brothers Prince Michael and Bigi to have a more “normal” childhood.
‘I appreciate it. It was nice. Because we were able to go to Chuck E. Cheese and Circus Circus and we were normal. ”
But as she grew older, Paris realized that she had to accept her family’s legacy.
“ For a long time I was against letting the world in because I was too scared to do it. I have had to accept the fact that I don’t have and probably never will have a private life.

The star spoke about her craft during a conversation with Good Morning America on Tuesday.
“It wasn’t until the last couple of years that I started calling myself a musician and embracing, you know, the feeling that I think I was born to do this,” he said.
“Originally I started writing music for myself, just to get things out, to purge them.”
