Bayern Munich was not ashamed to talk about Friday night’s quarterfinal clash with Barcelona in Lisbon.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Barca players are well aware of what has been said and will be ‘extra motivated’ for the game after being ‘stung’ by some of Bayern’s words.

It all started with former Bayern Munich man Lothar Matthäus making it clear that he thinks the Bundesliga champions will easily advance, according to Marca.
“Bayern will have to make a lot of mistakes to lose to this Barcelona, today’s Barcelona is not the same as before,” explained Matthaus.
He went a step further in an interview with Bild, saying Robert Lewandowski is the best player in the world and Messi alone “is not enough to defeat this Bayern.”
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge then went on to describe Manuel Neuer as “world-class”, but Marc-Andre ter Stegen is only “on his way to world-class.”
Meanwhile, Thomas Muller still has no lack of confidence prior to the bond. He recently spoke about how Bayern are currently “marching from record to record.”
Bayern are understandably favorites for the band after making the double in Germany and so far making light work of the Champions League. Can Barca eat the words of the Bundesliga giants on Friday?
