Pac Warren ‘TJ Warren is out against Rockets for plantar fasciitis

Indiana Pacers ahead of TJ Warren, one of the stars of the seeding scheme in the NBA’s reboot, sat out the 108-104 win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday due to plantar fasciitis in his right foot.

A source told ESPN that the plantar fasciitis is “not serious” and will not prevent Warren from being ready for the playoffs next week.

Pacer coach Nate McMillan said Warren “experienced that all season and could play on it.” He was noncommittal about whether Warren would play Friday against the Heat, for whom the Pacers will play in the first round of the playoffs.

“He was in a bit of pain there,” McMillan said. “We wanted to give him some rest. I will get the medical report on our boys tomorrow, and on Friday we will make a decision on who is playing and how much they are playing.”

Warren averaged 31.0 points per game during the restart of the season at Walt Disney World Resort, tied for fourth in the league. He shot 57.8% from the floor and 52.4% from 3-point range in the bubble, marked by a career-best 53-point performance in an Aug. 1-win over the Philadelphia 76ers and a 39-point outing in Saturday’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers.

Warren was held to 12 points on 5-of-14 shots in Monday’s loss to the Heat. Warren’s matchup with Heat forward Jimmy Butler will be one of the primary stories of the team’s playoff series, in large part due to heated exchanges they had during and after Miami’s Jan. 8. About Indiana.

Pacers All-Star power forward Domantas Sabonis has not played in the restart of the season due to a more serious case of plantar fasciitis in his left foot, which led him to leave the NBA bubble to receive treatment.
