Sadly, another member of the entertainment community passed away. Beckie Mullen died of advanced stage cancer on July 28.
Mullen used to enter the ring as Sally the Farmer’s Daughter in the 80s version of Beautiful Ladies of Fight (GLOW), and then worked as a model and actress. Mullen’s daughter Brittani Rabay confirmed her death to TMZ, and RADIANCE Fans are sharing tributes.

If you saw RADIANCE back in the ’80s, you probably remember Sally and Babe, the sister duo who often joined their opponents using their farming movements.
Mullen teamed up with Ursula Hayden and would often fight her arch rivals Hollywood and Vine in the ring. Dressed in shorts and red and white blouses, it was part of his trick.
Sometimes Mullen went to the mat alone or changed things with a new partner. One of the favorite parts of fans in RADIANCE It was when Sally’s daughter, the farmer, read aloud letters home.
Although Mullen did not participate in 2012 RADIANCE documentary, she returned to the franchise in 2019 The original ladies of wrestling, joining some of his former castmates.
After leaving his career with RADIANCE, she appeared in several television series and movies, including Married with children (the episode with the dream of Al Bundy and Pamela Anderson), Pacific Blueand High tide.
Mullen remembered by ‘GLOW’ co-stars and fans
Jeanne Basone, whose character was Hollywood in the 1980s incarnation of RADIANCE, posted a warm note on Twitter about Mullen. She called her a sister and her biggest rival.
Angelina Altishin went through Little Egypt in the original RADIANCE show, and she also shared a tribute on Twitter. She wrote: “Yesterday we lost one of our sisters #GLOW #GorgeousLadiesofWrestling. My heart goes out to the #BeckieMullin #SallytheFarmersDaughter family, friends, and fans. We will miss you, sweet girl.
Mullens fans also chimed in on social media to say Sally was her favorite or to express their condolences. “Oh noooo! She was always one of my favorites! One fan tweeted. Another added:” Oh, I live in Palm Springs, it is very sad to hear that she died in one of our hospital. I was a huge fan of glitter and Sally She was one of my first favorite RIP Sally fighters. “

the RADIANCE The scheduled reboot currently airing on Netflix borrows heavily from the ’80s wrestling show, and Hayden (aka Babe the Farmer’s Daughter) has served as a consultant from the start.
Some characters are easily recognizable, and others have features of the original lineup. Some of Sally’s qualities can be found in Liberty Belle, played by Betty Gilpin.
Gilpin received an Emmy nomination for her role as Debbie Eagan in the Netflix comedy. The series also earned two other awards for Outstanding Sound Editing for a comedy or drama series and Outstanding Production Design for a narrative program.
