The latest update to the Trump administration’s fight to develop the COVID-19 vaccine has led to the continued success of ‘Operation War War Speed’.

During a press briefing on Wednesday, Operation Operations Chief Adviser Monsef Sloy predicted that at least 100 million Americans would be free of the virus by the end of February.

About 20 million people are expected to be vaccinated against Pfizer and Modern in December alone.

Sloe added that 30 million people would be vaccinated by January and 50 million by February.

Vaccine front runners ‘Pfizer’ and ‘Modernna’ have both sent their vaccines to the FDA for emergency use approval. Each of the two has proven its high efficacy at about 95 percent.

Once approved, the rope speed team can begin dose shipping within two days of authorization. Chief rations operations officer General Gus Parna said he would announce as soon as the doses became available.

“We are not waiting for a cluster of vaccines to become available and then push,” Parna said. “We want a rhythmic, cadence delivery of the vaccine so that states can manage it best in priorities as they develop.”

State officials will decide who should get the vaccine. Advocacy groups have called for health care workers and the elderly to be considered.

Also, it is not clear whether the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available after February. However, officials said that other companies such as Johnson & Johnson and AstraZeneca are also preparing to produce coronavirus vaccines. They may get approval early next year.
