OnePlus releases promotional video of the OnePlus Nord with glimpses of its design

It’s been the talk of the town for the past few weeks: OnePlus is rolling out an affordable phone once again! Called OnePlus Nord, the new phone will mark a “new beginning” as expressed by OnePlus.

The new phone will not only cost significantly less than current OnePlus flagships at “under $ 500,” but it will also start a whole new line of phones with an entirely different user base in mind.

And the latest video on the OnePlus Nord Instagram page is another confirmation of that.

There is no talk of speed or performance or update rates. In fact, there is no mention of smartphones at all. OnePlus Nord seems to focus more on the human side of the smartphone experience than on the hardware.

However, we still focused on the technology side, so naturally we were looking for those split seconds where you can see the Nord itself. Or at least what we can assume is the OnePlus Nord. This is what you can see in one of the boxes:

It’s not much, but it’s our first real-life glimpse of the OnePlus Nord. The phone has a flat screen, as we have seen in the leaks, and a very high aspect ratio. It also appears to be quite thin.

Another frame, captured by @Slashleaks, shows the back of the devices:

The camera module leaves no doubt that this is a OnePlus phone that we have not seen before. The corner position of the camera bump is new and probably very intentional. All OnePlus flagships since OnePlus 6 have had a centered rear camera.

However, if you are excited about the Nord and live in the United States, we have bad news. Currently, there appear to be no plans for OnePlus to launch the phone in the United States. India, the UK and the rest of Europe are the target markets for this device at the moment.
