Ohio Governor issues statewide mandatory mask order


Ohio Governor Mike DeWine (R) announced Wednesday that all citizens should wear masks while in public beginning Thursday night.

The announcement, which DeWine mentioned on Twitter, It follows an earlier mandate earlier this month that it imposed mask regulations on specific counties that experienced COVID-19 outbreaks.

The measure, which takes effect at 6 p.m. Thursday, requires people to wear face masks indoors that are not a residence, outdoors where a social distance of six feet is not feasible, and when they line up to public transport services.

Statewide mask ordering exclusions include individuals with a medical condition or disability and those who communicate with someone with a disability.

Other exemptions include those who participate in sports activities, religious service officials, those involved in public safety, and anyone who eats or drinks.
