Obama congratulates Biden on becoming the Democratic nominee

Former President Barack Obama congratulates former Vice President Joe Biden on the official future of the Democratic nomination for President.

‘Congrats, Joe. I’m proud of you, ” the former commander-in-chief wrote on Twitter late Tuesday.

Obama’s tweet came just after the party’s primary race finally ended with the call of the delegate, which took place almost during Tuesday night’s festivities at the Democratic National Convention.

During that event, the former vice president crowned his main primary rival, sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), To be formally nominated as the Democratic president, and won 3,558 delegates to 1,151.

‘Well, thank you very much, very much. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all, ‘Biden said in his brief remarks.

“It means the world to me and my family and I’ll see you on Thursday,” he continued, before giving his wife a kiss.

“It is the honor of my life to accept the nomination of the Democratic Party for President of the United States of America,” he tweeted Tuesday after the roll call was completed.

Presidential candidates were known to have performed in the days prior to their keynote speeches, but most of the time they have limited their remarks until then.

Biden’s speech, in which he will formally accept the Democratic nomination for president, is on Thursday night.

Obama will meanwhile headline the events of Wednesday night along with sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), Who will formally accept the Vice Presidential nomination.

The former president will face stiff competition from his wife, former First Lady Michelle Obama, to steal the show.

During her speech Monday, the former First Lady criticized President Trump, calling him “the wrong president.”

‘Let me be as honest and clear as I can. Donald Trump is the wrong president for our country.

‘He’s had more than enough time to prove he can do the job, but he’s clearly over his head. He cannot fulfill this moment. He just may not be who we need him to be. That’s what it is, ”she said.
