Now you can listen to Spotify remotely with friends

In May Spotify released the beta version of a new feature called Group Session, which allows premium users in the same neighborhood to share the ability to play, queue, and skip songs while listening together. Now, the streaming platform has announced a Group Session update that allows you to listen to playlists and podcasts with other users anywhere in the world. You can invite up to four other people to join a listening session by going to the Connect tab (found at the bottom left of the mobile interface) and generating a “join” link which can then be sent via Courier services. All users in the group will have the ability to play, pause, and skip songs, as well as select new songs and add songs to the queue.

Earlier this year, Spotify raised the old library limit to 10,000 songs, allowing users to save as many songs as they want. Following the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, the streaming giant launched the Spotify COVID-19 Music Relief project.
