Wall Street indices were up about two percent last night, and tech stocks were up. However, the arrows point down in futures trading on Wall Street on Friday morning.

In Asia in the morning it is mixed, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange is positive, while the Hong Kong Stock Exchange is falling.

– Many investors in Asia opted to turn a profit on Friday after the surge in recent days, Nordnet Berntsen analyst wrote in his morning report ahead of the stock market opening.

It is still the unresolved presidential election that is in the focus of investors in the region on Friday, Berntsen believes.

Fall in oil prices

Oil prices are down nearly two percent on the day to $ 40.06 a barrel. That’s 90 cents less than when the Oslo Stock Exchange closed on Thursday.

Among other things, stricter infection measures in Europe will affect oil demand in the future, Berntsen notes. Before the opening of the stock market, he believed that falling oil prices would have an impact on the stock market.

– The price of oil is significantly below yesterday’s levels and therefore will have a negative effect on the Oslo Stock Exchange today, Berntsen wrote before the opening of the exchange. Since then, the drop in oil prices has slowed somewhat.
