On Thursday night, the FBI and the US intelligence committee reported that they learned that Iran, among other things, has tried to interfere in the upcoming presidential elections.
US authorities have concluded that Iran is behind the threatening emails sent to Democratic voters in at least four states for tip. The emails are said to have been from the far-right group Proud Boys, writes the Washington Post.

“We want to warn the public that we have identified that two foreign actors, Iran and Russia, have taken actions to influence people’s opinions in relation to the elections,” said the head of the US Intelligence Committee, John Ratcliffe, in a press conference with the director of the FBI, Christopher. They also claim that Iran and Russia have gained access to information on registered voters.
