In this test, Test.has not chosen to include a selection of the most wanted mobile phones now. The winner of the test in 2020 is Huawei
The winner of the test is the Huawei P30 Pro, which has a camera considered one of the best on the market, and few competitors can reach night mode. It also has good battery life, fast processor, and good sound. What seems to have impressed reviewers the most is the price, and you get it now for just under NOK 5,000.
With the same score and thus in a divided first place, we find the iPhone 11 Pro / Max, with a starting price that is north of 10,000, but here several reviewers believe that you get good value for money. The camera has undergone a real update and is among the best on the market, and the battery capacity is very good. Plus, it has an ultra-fast processor and is waterproof.

That is why we have chosen to include older iPhone models in the test.
There is no doubt that Apple still has solid control over the Norwegian mobile market, and store sales figures confirm that iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR mobile phones are still in high demand. When comparing these scores in the list of results, remember that they scored according to the appearance of the market in 2018, and that a fifth of those given at that time cannot be compared to five today if you consider technological developments.
Samsung Galaxy S20, S20 Plus and S20 Ultra
Among the mobile phones expected to be the most popular in 2020, we find the new Samsung S20 models. The three main models have similar names, and in addition to size, specifications, and price, they also set them apart. Here are the key differences:
- Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: 5000 mAh battery, screen size: 6.9 inches, this model has the best camera.
- Samsung Galaxy S20 Plus: 4500 mAh battery, screen size: 6.7 inches, the camera here is not as good as the Ultra, but it is better than the S20.
- Samsung Galaxy S20: 4000 mAh battery, screen size: 6.2 inches, the “worst” camera compared to the S20 Ultra and S20 Plus.
Otherwise, all three models have different weights (depending on battery and size), and prices vary with the edition and storage space you choose, and at time of writing range from approximately NOK 9500 to approximately NOK 15,000. Beyond this, the display technology and hardware are similar across all three models, and all three support 5G.
Should you buy an S20 series mobile? Well, before you decide, you should at least consult with our competitors Huawei and OnePlus who tend to launch a top model with an annual price of between $ 8,000 and $ 10,000 with specifications that are among the best on the market.

iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro or iPhone 11 Pro Max
The iPhone 11 series launched in 2019 and immediately became popular in the Norwegian market. These are the key things that distinguish the three models of iPhone 11:
- iPhone 11 Pro Max: 3969 mAh Li-Ion battery, display size: 6.5 inches (OLED), 3 rear cameras, max. storage capacity: 512 GB, waterproof at 4 meters depth for up to 30 minutes.
- iPhone 11 Pro: 3046 mAh Li-Ion battery, screen size: 5.8 inches (OLED, 3 rear cameras, maximum storage capacity: 512 GB, water resistant to 4 meters depth for up to 30 minutes).
- iPhone 11: Li-Ion 3110 mAh battery, screen size: 6.1 inches (LCD, not HDR), 2 rear cameras, maximum storage capacity: 256 GB, water resistant to 2 meters depth for up to 30 minutes.
Cheaper options
In recent years, smartphone prices have skyrocketed, but if we believe in store sales figures, this is not an obstacle for Ola Nordmann. Still, it seems that more and more people think it costs more than they know, and it should be mentioned that most manufacturers supply perfectly suitable mobile phones for less than NOK 5,000, which is a good example of the test winner.

Of other good alternatives to the test, the Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro may be worth it. Here you get very good technology for the fraction of what the best models cost.
Samsung has its Series A, where they recently launched the Galaxy A71 and A51, which you may want to see. Huawei also has several Lite versions than the most popular mobiles, and the P30 Lite may be worth it.
These days, Apple is launching a new and affordable iPhone, the iPhone SE. It will start at around 5,000 SEK for the 64GB version, and is similar in appearance to the iPhone 8, but with inputs that have a lot in common with the iPhone 11 and 11 Pro. As soon as tests are available, we will include them in the results list.
