Abid Raja (V) still disagrees with soccer’s desire to cover the loss of sponsorship revenue after meeting with Odd leader Einar Håndlykken in Oslo.

On Tuesday, they strongly disagreed with each other on the NRK Debate program. On Wednesday, Raja charged that Handlake was using “government techniques.” But on Thursday, the Minister of Culture and the odd Chief met for a meeting in the capital.

There was an apparently good atmosphere.

– It seems we have a bad relationship, says Raja before revealing:

– Actually, we’ve been on a honeymoon together.

The good tone, on the other hand, has not changed his attitude in contributing to crisis packages that can cover lost sponsorship revenue for football clubs.

“What we are not going to cover, and what I am not going to take the initiative to cover, is the loss of sponsorship revenue,” Raja told reporters.

To this, Luck of the hand responds:

– Our sponsorship income is extremely important. But the point is not whether we will cover it or part of our loss of income, but rather cover something. I register businesses and many get support, we don’t do it in practice. What is not so important for this, but the top, width and club must get support for your business. We believe that has not been the case so far.

“And you will,” Raja promises, asking for the handshake “to greet his wife.”

The left-wing politician admits that the 700 million crisis package for Norwegian sports, culture and volunteerism, where Norwegian sports only requested 264 million, was not good enough.

He says he wants to help soccer clubs cover the loss of income from volunteering, parking, waffle sales, and the like.

– The government does not cover the loss of income of any company. What we cover are unavoidable expenses. And for sport, we also have to cover the loss of reasonable sources of income, says Raja, who warns that the adjustments will come “quickly.”

Later Thursday, Raja will present what happens to events with less than 500 participants this summer. The Culture Minister reiterated his warning that the Labor Party is promoting a proposal to start the Norwegian football season as soon as possible, as stated by VG on Thursday morning.

The handshake does not believe that football will receive answers about the start of the series at the Raja press conference at 16.

– I don’t think we’ll get a start signal at four o’clock. I think it is a little premature. More needs to be done, says Odd-peak.
