– Maarud still chooses to recall all products that were produced at the same time. The best before the date the withdrawal applies is June 21, 2021, it says in the announcement.
The company strongly apologizes for what happened.
– It is important for us to comply with our strict quality requirements and in accordance with the quality that consumers expect. When we cannot guarantee it, we have chosen to withdraw this individual production from the market, says Maarud communications manager Cathrine Moksnes.
Moksnes now emphasizes that they will have a review to evaluate new measures in collaboration with Rentokil and the local food inspection.
Maarud asks all customers who have bought such a bag to check the date.
– If it says 21.06.2021, you can throw away the contents and return the bag to Maarud. Maarud will then make up for the purchase, they write.
